Parerea unuei straine despre Bucharest Fashion Week

Rucharest (fUGLYweek) Fashion Week 2007

Day 4: rhinestones on hockey helmets, short, over the knees stretch pants with writings on the “behind”, rhinestones, rhinestones, rhinestones ALL OVER. The outfits looked like Vegas gone bad: fake, lime green hair on model heads and outfits made only out of rhinestones. This is not fashion! Please, anybody, stop these people who consider themselves designers, creating such “clothes” calling it Romanian fashion. It’s kitsch extreme, it’s bad taste and the people that go to these shows, our local “celebrities” dress even worse. I don’t know exactly who the designer of the “clothing” was, please do enlighten me so I know who I’m talking about (just saw the news on TV, there were no designer names given). Please God, save me from the attack of ROmanian bad taste, kitschy style, fUCKINGugly “fashion”!

I would like to see more pictures from all shows, not only the worst. Maybe I’d change my mind about the Romanian designers (there have to be young, new designers who think and are actually creative). But this event is so poorly organized, even if RFW started 5 days ago, you can’t find ANY official pictures. The only ones that I’ve found were from a “Events Web Site”, the photos are poorly taken, however perfectly exemplify the bad taste I talked about, that infects Romania these days!

Romanian official soft porn at it’s best! Poor models, what they have to do for money. Does this look like underwear fashion or a casting for a porn blockbuster??

Belly bearing, overly embellished tops, washed out or ARMY!!! jeans and barefoot? What kind of GOD DAMN style is this??? The designer seemd to like it so much, he styled his/her male models the same way. Poor male model (photo down), gay guys look so much better than this!

If this dress would be peachy or pinkish then it would be the worst, fUgliest brides-maids dress in fashion history (and there are some pretty fucked up BM outfits at almost every wedding)! But luckily it’s white, so it is only the worst, fUgliest brides dress in fashion history.

I don’t even dare to call this white&green ensemble a dress, it is more of a gross costume. Hope your eyes weren’t harmed from so much fUglyness.

The Romanian self-proclaimed KING of Fashion: Catalin Botezatu, at the end of his show in a pirate outfit (this was his inspiration). Sorry, Mr. Botezatu, “Pirates of the Caribbean” outfits look good only on Olando Bloom or at Halloween.

Here are some comments about the shows from people who were actually there:Ioana | Sibiu: “Organizarea a fost dezastruoasa” = ” The organization was a disaster”. Mirabela M | Oradea: Imi pare rau s’o spun dar sunt foarte dezamagita de fashion week.e dezastru..putin spus..nu e moda..nu gasesti creativitate..creati vestimentara..nimic. zero asa cum a fost si pana acum.Punct! = ” I am sorry to say, but I am very disappointed of RFW. It’s a disaster and that is a nice way to say it. That is not fashion, there’s no cretivity, no fashion creativity NOTHING! It’s zero, the same like it was until now”.

Let’s all pray for some change in the future. I will surely do so! God Bless ROmania!
